Meditation has been shown to have many benefits that can be very helpful in this time of global stress. Some of those benefits are:

Learn several essential tools that will enable you to begin to experience the benefits of a meditation practice. We'll cover lying down meditation, guided meditation, mindful breath awareness and silent sitting meditation. Each component will include instruction followed by time for practice and questions.

Bobbie Perkins

This workshop is great for beginners as well as those who want to refresh their meditation practice.

Facilitated by meditation instructor, Bobbie Perkins, executive director of Dallas Meditation Center.

Have you noticed that your meditation practice has been disrupted by a change in your routine during the pandemic? Do you find it difficult to calm your mind when you do sit?

This workshop is designed to address those issues by offering a refresher of what you already know and adding some practices that will help you deepen & strengthen your meditation practice. We will focus on:

► Identifying and releasing stress and anxiety
► Letting go of expectations and judgments
► Expanding awareness of the power of breath
► Understanding the role of meditation as a mindfulness practice

During this two-hour workshop, we will begin with a brief refresher of tools and techniques that were learned in the Beginner's Meditation Workshop. You will be guided through exercises designed to aid in identifying where you store stress and anxiety in your body so that you can settle into a place of ease. And we will enjoy extended periods of both guided and silent meditation.

Bobbie Perkins

The workshop will include follow-up materials such as helpful articles related to meditation and mindfulness. Guided meditations from Bobbie. An optional opportunity to join others from your group for continued support and encouragement.

This workshop is great for practitioners who want to refresh and deepen their meditation practice.
